TESTIMONIALS

Here goes a few points of my experience of learning with Jon. I have always self taught myself many things, and that's down to fear of failing or looking stupid! I went and bit the bullet to learn something I have always dreamed of " being a bass player" Jon not only teaches me correct technique but has a gift of teaching bass in a clever and systematic approach! He learns about who you are and your learning style and applies this in your own learning journey, Jon is passionate about teaching bass and not only makes you feel relaxed but motivated and inspired, it's never too late to learn bass and being taught by Jon is so enjoyable and I learn something new and challenging every lesson. To summarise ; Jon has natural gifts of not only being a professional bassist but his teaching method is structured , relaxing and most importantly fun!

Jon comes across as genuinely wanting to help, even an oldie like myself who had not played for well over 30 years found myself being inspired. But apart from his teaching ability and frankly exceptional musical skills, I was impressed by the real effort Jon went to in an effort to help work around my limitations (specifically Dyslexia and the inability to read music or tabs). In short, a top chap for bottom notes (see what I did there)

I started lessons with Jon after 6 months of lessons with guitarists trying to teach bass. Big mistake but a common scenario. I've been with Jon now for 3 years. If you want to learn bass properly at whatever level Jon comes highly recommended. whatever you want or need to know; whatever genre, whether bass guitar techniques, music theory, band technique, learning songs for fun, music recording and production, Jon should be your first port of call. Excellent friendly tutor at very reasonable rate.
